We offer a range of personalized services to guide students through the college planning, preparation, and placement process.
We meet in person, via Zoom/Skype, and phone. We offer packages as well as hourly services.
Consultation Services
The consultation service is the foundation for all of our packages. We develop a learning profile for each student based on an in-depth review of the student’s educational history. What are the student’s strengths and interests? How does the student learn best?
In TWO SESSIONS we provide:
● Comprehensive review of student’s learning history
● Assessments of learning style and college readiness
● Interview with student and family
● Explanation of learning support options at the college level
● Overview of the college planning process with customized advice
This service offers families practical, general guidance on how to proceed, but does not include a college list.
College List Package
We create a unique student profile to determine the best college fit. Each college list we
present represents our knowledge of the student’s learning profile, extensive research, and our collective expertise.
In a total of THREE SESSIONS we provide Consultation Services PLUS:
● Presentation of a list of colleges based on student’s profile, preferences, and priorities
● Proprietary college profiles highlighting admissions criteria, academic offerings, campus
culture, and learning support
● Instructions on how to thoughtfully research, visit, and evaluate a college
Comprehensive Package
Building on the College List Package, we guide each student through the application process, including developing a personal strategy, assisting with applications and essays, making referrals for test prep, and creating a resume. We help each student transition to college confident and well-prepared.
In a total of 12-15 SESSIONS, we provide Consultation and College List Package services PLUS:
● Advice on high school planning such as course selection, test prep, extracurriculars, summer activities, accommodations
● Guidance for resume and/or social media profile
● Brainstorming and editing assistance with college essays
● Development of application timeline and strategies
● Assistance with application completion
● Interview prep
● Tips for transitioning to college and securing accommodations
Senior Intensive Package
This condensed process is for students who enter senior year feeling stressed and confused about applying to college. We quickly get each student on track by identifying goals and preferences as well as need for support. We critically review the existing list of colleges, show effective ways to research and visit colleges, and discuss the nitty gritty details of how to build a strong application.
In a total of FOUR SESSIONS we provide:
● Review of student’s learning history
● Assessments on learning style and college readiness
● Interview with student and family
● Critique of existing college list
● Overview of college application process
● Explanation of learning support options at the college level
● Application timeline and strategies
